בזכרו של אדם מאיר, חבר, אב, סבא ואח אלברט בנימינוב.

On August 24, 2023, Albert Grigorievich Benjaminov would have turned 65.

Albert Benjaminov departed from this world in the prime of his wisdom and life experience on December 17, 2022.

His handsome appearance, intelligent eyes, good manners, high communication skills, and diverse knowledge always stood out.

Recently, I often mentally return to the times of our youth. 1979. Two young guys, Albert Benjaminov and the author of these lines, Yakov Kandinov, got married to twin sisters. They were two charming girls - Maria, who became Albert's wife, and my spouse Svetlana, formerly Fatakhova. Our fraternal (or rather, sororal) union was powerful, thanks to our wives, who possessed a kind and wise character, inherited from their wonderful parents, Ekaterina and Yuri Fatakhov, who raised six children in the ancient historical Uzbek city of Kokand.

Albert Benjaminov graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Tashkent University, becoming a professional engineer in the field of optical physics. Albert's parents - Grigory Isaakovich and Esya Nisanovna - were extraordinary people. They raised three children: Albert, Rita, and Joseph instilling a strong sense of integrity, hard work, and kindness toward others and introducing them to the fundamental values of Jewish traditions and culture.

From the early days of our immigration in 1991, Albert believed in his academic knowledge and succeeded in confirming his diploma at the university in San Diego, California. This motivated many immigrants from our community, and they, too, managed to navigate the challenging path of integration into American life. Albert was not only talented in science; he was a person of high erudition and nobility. He had a good understanding of automobile mechanics and helped his relatives and friends in the early years of immigration to fix problems with car parts.

He was educated with a keen mind and hardworking, yet remained modest and intelligent. Albert also earned the respect and trust of many friends for his selflessness and attention to solving anyone's problems. He loved people, and they reciprocated his affection.

He was an exceptional personality. Despite his engineering education, he was interested in literature, music, art, politics, and sports. His love for sports helped him achieve athletic success. We all remember with enthusiasm Albert played basketball, football and how he gave tactical football lessons to his grandchildren.

Albert inherited from his parents a dedication to family. He cared deeply for his two daughters, Yana and Oksana. Albert held an unwavering authority in the family. This was also the merit of his wife, Masha, who set an example for the children by her sensitive attitude towards her husband, his parents, and close ones. Devoted to his family, he remained so until the last days of his life.

In 2005, while working as a lead engineer for laser system commissioning in the industrial company "Cymer," Albert received the title of "Valuable Employee." The company "Cymer" sent Albert to Japan several times on business trips.

Reflecting on his life journey, we now perceive the greatness of Albert's personality even more vividly - his generous heart, his talent for loving and surrounding us all with his love, attention, care, and kindness. He was also a good friend, a sincere and pure-hearted person. All these qualities, without exaggeration, were inherent in Albert Benjaminov.

Relatives

I am shocked to find out of your passing on the 1-year anniversary.

I was sad to see you leave San Diego but happy to see you moving closer to your grandchildren. You were honestly one of the best people I have ever worked with.

I am a better person having known you. Rest in peace my friend.
